Banana peanut butter protein bars

Peanut butter and banana is a classic combination that can never get old. If you love good peanut butter and banana toast but want to mix things up a little, try this recipe. These bars are super easy to make, you don’t have to bake them and you basically need just a blender.

Take them to work, when you travel, have them as breakfast, dessert or an afternoon snack. Once you try them, they won’t stay in your fridge for long.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups oats
  • 3 scoops protein powder chocolate or banana flavor works great
  • 1 pinch pink himalayan salt
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 bananas ripe
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 4 tbsp peanut butter creamy, natural
  • 2 tbsp raw cacao nibs

Instructions

  • Ground your oats in a blender or food processor until they become like fine flour. Add your protein powder, salt and cinnamon and pulse a couple times more.
  • In a big bowl mash your bananas, add the honey and peanut butter and mix well.
  • Add your dry ingredients to the wet and mix again until everything is incorporated.
  • The mixture should be thick but not too dry or too wet. You can add more dry or wet ingredients until you get the consistency you want.
  • Fold in your raw cacao nibs.
  • Grease a baking pan with some coconut oil. You can also line it with parchment paper if you want but that's not necessary.
  • Press the mixture evenly and drizzle some more peanut butter on top. I also like to top everything off with even more cacao nibs.
  • Freeze for about 30 minutes then move it to the fridge and enjoy!
